Bexhill Photographic Club Competitions

Throughout the season the club holds open Print and Slide competitions as well as a Print Panel Competition and two Slide Set Subject competitions. Members are encouraged to submit work for appraisal and constructive criticism by external adjudicators. The latter are usually experienced photographers who have achieved a degree of excellence in photography. (for example they may have achieved affiliation to an internationally recognised body such as the Royal Photographic Society)

Winning Prints and Slides are then entered into the Print and Slide of The Year Competitions.

Competitions are usually held monthly and are split into Classes.

Print Classes

• General
• Small Print
• Portraiture

Max. 3 Prints not more than 2 in any class.

Slide Classes

• Natural History
• General
• Landscape

Max. 3 Slides not more than 2 in any class

External Competitions

The club is a member of both The Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (PAGB) and The Kent County Photographic Association (KCPA). These organisations hold Regional and National competitions and the club has entered work for the KCPA event. The club also submits work for the Sussex Print and Slide Conventions held in Hailsham, East Sussex.
